To the Honorable R. Joseph Quinn
From those who know you best

Your Honor, we are among the many professionals who have worked side-by side with you during your service to the State as a District Court Judge; and, we have therefore come to respect and care for you very much. The working environment you created for us was enjoyable, thought provoking, and compelling.  By observing you at work, both in the courtroom and in chambers, we learned what it means to unerringly stand for one's principles and those of a civilized society.

We know that your many years of service on the Bench and in the Minnesota Legislature have resulted in better lives for the State's citizens, and it is our distinct honor and privilege to express our gratitude to you on behalf of all those who recognize your accomplishments.

We extend to you our heartfelt congratulations and best wishes upon your retirement from your exemplary service to the Judiciary and to the citizens of the State.  You are a true gentleman and a model of professionalism.  We are proud to call you our mentor and our friend.
